FitBot AI is an AI-powered fitness application developed and operated by FitBot AI ("we," "us," or "our"). We provide the FitBot AI mobile application and the website at fitbotai.app (together, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. It applies to all users of the FitBot AI app and website.
By using FitBot AI, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Sign in with Apple or Google: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we may receive your name, email address, and profile photo made available by that provider.
- Profile and fitness information: Age, gender, height, weight, fitness goals, experience level, dietary preferences, and other details you share during onboarding or in your profile.
- Workout and activity data: Exercises logged, sets, reps, weights, workout history, and progress entries.
- Nutrition data: Meals logged, recipes saved, calorie and macro information you enter or interact with.
- Support requests: Messages, tickets, and feedback you send to our support team.
- AI chat inputs: Questions, prompts, and messages you send to the AI trainer feature.
- Community content: Posts, messages, and interactions within community features.
Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: Device type, operating system, app version, and unique device identifiers.
- Usage data: Features you use, screens you visit, actions you take, timestamps, and interaction patterns. This data is collected to understand how users engage with the app and improve the experience.
- Log data: IP address, crash reports, and performance diagnostics collected via our error reporting service.
- Analytics, diagnostics, and purchase-status data may be associated with your account or device identifiers.
Camera and Image Data
If you use features like form analysis, meal scanning, or profile photos:
- Camera access is used for real-time exercise form analysis.
- Profile photos and progress photos you upload are stored securely in our cloud infrastructure.
- Images or frames you submit for food scans or form analysis are sent securely to our AI service to generate results.
- We do not access your camera or photo library without your explicit permission.
Premium Access and Purchases
- If you purchase a premium subscription, we receive purchase status information (whether your access is active, expired, or canceled) from our subscription management provider.
- We do not collect or store your credit card number or payment details. All payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).
Health and Fitness Data
- With your permission, FitBot AI reads the following data from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android): step count.
- This data is used solely to display your daily fitness progress, personalize workout recommendations, and track trends within the app.
- Synced health data is cached locally on your device. If you use features that turn this data into derived progress metrics, limited summaries such as step-based progress totals may also be associated with your private account.
- Health data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for marketing purposes.
- We do not write data back to Apple Health or Health Connect.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Generate personalized workout plans, nutrition suggestions, and AI-powered recommendations.
- Process your AI trainer conversations and provide relevant responses.
- Process images you submit for food identification and exercise form analysis.
- Track your fitness progress and display it back to you.
- Provide billing-related support for premium features.
- Send you important service-related communications.
- Respond to your support requests.
- Analyze usage trends to improve the app experience.
3. AI Features and Your Data
FitBot AI uses artificial intelligence to power features like personalized workout and meal recommendations, AI trainer chat, exercise form analysis, and progress insights.
How AI Uses Your Data
- Your inputs (fitness data, goals, chat messages) may be processed by our AI service provider to generate personalized recommendations.
- Images you submit for food scans or form analysis are sent to our AI service for processing.
- With your permission, we may send your submitted images, messages, and related profile context to our AI service provider to provide AI-powered features.
- AI recommendations are generated automatically based on the information you provide.
- Your data sent to our AI service is not used to train third-party AI models.
- AI-generated outputs may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your individual circumstances. Use your own judgment when following any AI recommendation.
What AI Does Not Do
- AI features do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- AI recommendations are for informational and fitness purposes only. Always consult a qualified professional for health concerns.
4. Sharing of Information
We share data with service providers necessary to operate the app. We do not sell your personal data.
- Payment processors: Apple and Google process app store payments. We do not handle your payment details directly.
- AI service provider: Your prompts, profile context, and submitted images may be sent to our AI service provider to generate personalized recommendations, chat responses, food scans, and form analysis results.
- Subscription management: Your account identifier and subscription status are shared with our subscription management provider to manage premium access across platforms.
- Cloud infrastructure: Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. Our cloud provider handles authentication, database, file storage, and cloud function services.
- Crash reporting: Device information, crash logs, and app performance data are sent to our error reporting service to help us identify and fix bugs.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to operate FitBot AI, including services for authentication, data storage, cloud functions, AI processing, subscription management, crash diagnostics, and usage analytics. Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. Our service providers are required to protect your data in a manner consistent with this policy and applicable law. We only share information with third parties as necessary to provide the Service, and none of your data is shared for advertising purposes.
6. Data Retention
- Data is retained while your account is active.
- If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days of account deletion, except where we are required by law to retain it.
- Backup copies may persist in our systems for up to 30 days after deletion as part of standard backup processes.
- Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and improvement purposes.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
- Storage on secure cloud servers with restricted access.
- Secure authentication practices.
- App integrity verification to prevent unauthorized access to our backend services.
- Access controls limiting who within our team can access user data.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your account and personal data.
- Opt out of optional communications.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (such as health data access).
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
You can manage most of your data directly within the app. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, go to Settings > Delete Account in the app, or visit fitbotai.app/delete-account. For other requests, email us at support@fitbotai.app.
9. Children's Privacy
FitBot AI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

10. International Users
FitBot AI is operated from Canada. If you use the Service from outside Canada, your information may be transferred to and processed in Canada or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
